“It is a play about the oppression of the gaze that others ‘fix’ upon you, about feeling observed, controlled, hounded, about the control exerted by the other.
Then there is the mask of eyes, which opens up another theme concerning the transfiguration of the image others have of you...
Then there is the audio element: the clamour, the rattles of the snake, the siege…
It is a message of hope, a call to freedom, to shake off the intrusive presence of the other.
